What ages do you accept?
We serve children from 18 months to 6 years at both Children’s Town Playcare Center and Children’s City School. Specific availability varies by centre and program, so please contact us for current enrollment details.
Do you offer toddler programs?
Yes. Both Children’s Town Playcare Center and Children’s City School offer toddler programs.
Do you offer preschool programs?
Yes. Both centres offer preschool programs designed to support school readiness and confidence.
What is the difference between your two centres?
Children’s Town Playcare Center focuses on play-based learning inspired by Ontario’s How Does Learning Happen? framework. Children’s City School offers families a choice between Play-Based and Montessori programs for toddlers and preschoolers.
What is play-based learning?
Play-based learning uses play, exploration, hands-on activities and social interaction as the foundation for learning. Educators observe children, extend their interests and create intentional learning experiences.
What is Montessori?
Montessori is an educational approach that emphasizes independence, hands-on materials, practical life skills, concentration, self-directed activities and carefully prepared environments.
Can parents choose between Montessori and play-based learning?
Yes. At Children’s City School, families can choose between Play-Based and Montessori streams for toddler and preschool programs. Children’s Town Playcare Center is intentionally play-based.
How do I book a tour?
Use the Book a Tour button or the contact form on this site. We will schedule your visit during program hours so you can see the centre in action.
What should my child bring?
Please bring indoor shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, a spare change of clothes, a reusable water bottle and any comfort items for rest time. We will confirm the full list during your tour or registration.
What are your hours?
Both centres are open 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
Do you provide meals?
Yes. Nutritious meals and snacks are provided. Menus accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies. Please confirm specific meal details during your tour.
How do I register?
Start by booking a tour or submitting an inquiry through our contact form. Our team will guide you through availability, waitlists and the registration process.
What happens if my child has an allergy?
We take allergies seriously and work closely with families to help keep children safe. Individual allergy and medical information is documented and made available to staff responsible for the child. Allergy plans are posted in designated areas of the centre as required, and staff follow the child's written plan and our health and safety procedures. Please provide complete and up-to-date allergy information during registration, including known allergens, symptoms, emergency procedures and any required medication. Families are asked to notify us promptly of any changes to their child's allergy or medical information.
How do educators communicate with parents?
We share daily updates through our communication system and welcome conversations at drop-off and pickup. Educators are also available by phone or email for questions.
